This industrial city in northern Italy is well worth the visit. Surrounded by mountains Turin was the host of the 2006 Winter Olympics. In the decade since the city has continued to develop it’s softer side – for many years it was known as an industrial city being the home base for large Italian corporations namely FIAT.
Be sure to spend a couple nights here to soak in all the city has to offer.
Our top to-do:
Take the elevator to the top and see Torino form above – great for pictures and a different perspective of the city.
These archways span across the whole city and will keep you dry when it’s raining and cool when the sun hits.
Nocciola, nocciola, nocciola
Piemont is known for it’s hazelnuts – Nutella’s parent company Fererro started here –
Be sure to try the nocciola ice cream from buffala milk @ Conogelato on Via Cesare Battisti – BEST IN THE WORLD!
This 1 Michelin star joint is not only beautiful but the food is a great representation of the region – You can also try Farmacia del Cambio next door for a simpler bite.
